Live Scan Fingerprints

The Department of Justice has developed an automated background check process that requires digitized fingerprints (“Live Scan”).  The electronic fingerprinting takes ten minutes and your prints are immediately available for electronic transmission to the DOJ and the FBI.

Who needs Live Scan Fingerprints?

Agency Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Nursing Graduates for NCLEX, Vehicle salespersons or any other vehicle industry related occupation licensed by DMV, Foster Parents, Stock Brokers, Teachers, Real Estate Licensees, Appraisers, Notaries, Elder Care Givers, as well as anyone having contact with children, Security Guards, and many more.

Required documentation

It is important that you bring the authorized “Request for Live Scan Service – Applicant Submission” form.  Please make SURE the form is completed PRIOR to your arrival and have THREE copies. Acceptable forms of identification include:  State Driver’s License, State Department of Motor Vehicle identification card, or Passport.

Fees

ESTEEM processing fee, $25.  DOJ fee, $32 and the FBI fee, $19 – for a total of $76. For facilities that only require DOJ Live Scan , total is $57. Hard copy FBI, total is $20.
